Legal Info: Is E-secure.io Regulated?

E-secure.io claims to be a legitimate crypto trading company. However, the website did not provide any valid legal documentation whatsoever. There is no company name, ID, address, license, phone number, etc.

After doing some more digging on E-secure.io, we found out that the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), one of the greatest and most reliable financial regulators in the world, issued a warning against E-secure.io on September 9, 2023.

In the warning, the FCA says that “this firm is not authorised by us but has been contacting people pretending to be an authorised firm,” implying that E-secure.io is a clone website. The legit company is actually called Sturgeon Ventures LLP.

Therefore, it has been revealed that the platform is not transparent and unlicensed to provide crypto trading services. And since E-secure.io is not registered with the UK’s Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the firm is not liable to compensate clients in case of insolvency. FSCS-registered firms must pay clients up to 85,000 GBP in compensation.

Trading with unregulated brokers is risky, which is why we recommend you avoid investing your money in blacklisted platforms such as E-secure.io or Beurax.

Who Are E-secure.io’s Victims?

According to godaddy.com/whois, the E-secure.io.com website domain was created on June 2, 2023. Since then, the anonymous con artist has been primarily targeting traders who reside in the following countries:

  • Sweden;
  • Belgium;
  • Portugal;
  • Australia;
  • South Africa.

The scam broker is purposefully targeting traders from reputable financial hubs around the world. To reiterate, the FCA blacklisted the platform because the firm is not compliant with the common European trading regulations and laws. Australia and South Africa have their own regulations but are also off-limits to E-secure.io.

Trader Reviews – Sharing Experiences

At the time of this writing, E-secure.io had 21 reviews on trustpilot.com with an average score of 3.8 (great). However, the reviews are mixed but the negative ones seem more compelling. E-secure.io is unambiguously a scam, we already proved that, so these positive reviews seem fake, i.e. incentivized.

Some of them are even complaints, despite the five-star rating, which is why you should read all of them to see that we were right.

Do not trade on unregulated platforms. Allow us to find the right broker for you.

E-secure.io Trading Platform

E-secure.io did not reveal which trading platform is available. We tend to believe that there is no trading platform available at all. E-secure.io’s website and all its content are just a ruse to make clients believe that will actually be trading cryptocurrencies.

We know for a fact that E-secure.io does not support proper third-party software such as MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, or SiriX. Also, the brokerage is unregulated, making any platform susceptible to manipulation.

And the worst thing about all of it is that there is no risk-free demo account, meaning you cannot log in and try out the platform for a trial period. Such shady stipulations are typical of scammers such as E-secure.io and FxActive

E-secure.io Account Types

E-secure.io allegedly offers six live trading account types, or as we like to call them, “baits”:

Account Types
Basic  Advanced Advanced Plus Advanced Pro Expert  VIP
Minimum Deposit 10,000 USD 50,000 USD 250,000 USD 500,000 USD 1,000,000 USD 2,000,000 USD

Leverage, Spreads and Commissions

The phony broker did not disclose the maximum leverage. Just keep in mind that high leverage is risky, especially if you’re a beginner who’s trading volatile assets such as cryptocurrencies. High leverage can amplify profits but also losses.

E-secure.io also did not reveal trading costs, i.e. spreads. The website advertises zero fees, which is highly unlikely and a dead giveaway that you’re dealing with a fraudster. We already debunked all the lies on the website so please do not fall into this cyber trap.

E-secure.io Withdrawal Process

E-secure.io did not disclose the available payment methods. The minimum deposit requirement is a staggering 10,000 USD, which is significantly more than what legitimate brokers charge.

As for the fees, E-secure.io claims that there are no withdrawal fees. The broker is unlikely to fulfill your withdrawal request, which is why we will tell you a bit more about the chargeback procedure.

Funds deposited via MasterCard and VISA credit/debit cards can be refunded via a chargeback, which can be requested at the issuing bank within 540 days. Wire transfers can be reversed via a recall but this action can only work for transactions that are not yet complete.

Key Facts To Consider About E-secure.io
