Is Exante a Legit and Safe Trading Broker? – View from 2023

First of all, it’s important to mention that Exante currently holds two regulations – from Cypriot CySEC and SFC from Hong Kong. In addition, the firm presents us with their FCA regulation on the website. The truth is this firm has been under supervised runoff since September 2021 and is not allowed to accept new clients from the UK.

However, our research shows that the majority of their customers are from this particular country. In addition, they accept clients from:

  • Chile,
  • United States,
  • Poland,
  • Germany.

However, they have no regulations in the first two countries, meaning their business is running unsupervised. That may pose a risk to your funds as you cannot access regulatory compensation funds.

Besides, we’ve checked Exante’s reviews from clients. On Trustpilot, the firm has a score of 3.3 stars and 34% of the lowest-rated comments. It’s quite a large number, considering that there have been only 24 reviews in total, and the firm was registered in 2012. This all suggests that Exante may not be as legitimate and that you may face trouble with this firm.

Many Traders Can’t Get Started with Exante

There is a very high floor for traders looking to invest with Exante. The broker requires a minimum deposit of $10,000 to open an account. Many online brokers like AroTrade need only $100. It’s clear that Exante is angling for some big fish. They also only accept wire transfers to fund accounts, no credit cards or other payment methods. The broker also has a demo account available for traders who want to check them out. The demo account gives users access to $1,000,000 of virtual funds to get to know the platform and their spreads.

Exante Spreads and Leverage

Exante offers only variable spreads, and these spreads are generally favorable. The EUR/USD spread, often used as a benchmark, is about 0.3 pips. This sounds too good to be true, and it is. The broker also charges commissions on top of their spreads, 0.5 pips for each trade. With this in mind, their spreads are about average. The broker gives users leverage of up to 1:50, much higher than is recommended for novice traders. The ESMA mandates that brokers only provide leverage of up to 1:30. However, the broker might be legitimately bypassing this rule by only offering “professional” accounts.

Custom Trading Platform

The broker doesn’t have the popular MetaTrader 4 platform, instead opting to develop their own. While this platform can’t match the myriad of features of MetaTrader 4, it is much better than those made by other brokers. It is available in-browser, for both PC and Mac, and as an app for iOS or Android devices. The layout is intuitive and easy to understand, with many features that make trading easier.

Reports of Difficult Withdrawals

Exante

While everything appears to be on the up and up with this broker on the surface, there are some worrying client reviews online. The most frequently cited complaint is difficulty making withdrawals. Some users say that they faced unreasonable requests to verify their identity to make a withdrawal, effectively cutting off their funds.

What Can I Do If I Have an Issue With Exante Broker?

Considering that the Exante minimum deposit is 10,000 EUR for individual clients and 50,000 EUR for corporate customers, we can see how you can get in trouble. In addition, the firm is not very transparent when it comes to maximum leverage or trading fees.

You should contact the regulator first if you have any problems with Exante, whether with your account, their proprietary trading platform, or withdrawals. If they cannot help or you need additional assistance, you can contact our recovery specialists. Book a free consultation today, and we’ll evaluate your case to determine whether you can get your money back and how.

Can I try EXANTE before I buy?

Yes, Exante broker offers its clients a demo account where you can try its services before making a deposit. After you log in to the Exante website, you will see an option Demo account under the Technology field. The Demo, when we tried to test it, didn’t work properly, and had significant delays. Not sure if it will help you get a picture of the trading world.

Is EXANTE A Good Broker?

Exante is a suspicious broker. The company is registered in Cyprus under the name Exante Ltd and in Malta as XNT Ltd. The director of XNT was accused of fraud by SEC, and this is when Exante Cyprus was established. Think carefully when opening an account with this broker.

Is the EXANTE trading platform secure?

Exante is providing its clients’ web trader, which is the least secure trading platform. All the regulated brokers are offering MT4 or MT5 platforms because they are much safer and harder to manipulate. Web traders are the tool to change bid and ask prices, and manipulate the market.

Unfortunately, many users start reading reviews only after falling victim to scams. We sincerely hope that you are not one of them!
However, if you're here because you suspect that your investment isn't in a safe place, know that you have the right to claim funds back!
